AGPR is an all-volunteer group that rescues and finds homes for Great Pyrenees dogs, reunites lost dogs with owners and advises people interested in owning a Pyr.
To aid the existing Brunswick County NC non-profit animal shelters in fundraising. It has since grown to include the push to reduce the euthanasia rate of unwanted animals by a spay/neuter program in the county.

501c3 non profit dedicated to rescuing, caring for, and rehoming stray, injured, homeless and feral cats. We rescue and rehome cats primarily in the Southcentral Alaska and Kenai peninsula. CCCR rescues about 500 cats a year.
The Longboat Key Turtle Watch group patrols Gulf side beaches starting at the Manatee County line (Sea Club Resort), north to the Longboat Pass bridge, Greer Island (Beer Can). This stretch of beach is divided into 4 zones and is patrolled by volunteers, who walk the beach at 6:30 AM in the morning, one or more days a week. The patrols start May 1st, and usually end by mid September when all the marked nests have hatched or been dug up.
